1. About These Terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of services provided by The 147 ("we", "us", "our"), a snooker venue, bar, and restaurant operating in Bradford, United Kingdom. By booking a table, purchasing a membership, buying a gift card, placing a food or drink order, or otherwise using our services, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services. For questions, contact us via www.the147.co.uk.
2. Memberships
Memberships are sold on a recurring monthly subscription basis and renew automatically each month using the payment method you provided at sign-up. Membership benefits begin once your first payment has been received.
- Cancellation: You may cancel your membership at any time from your account in The 147 app, via the website, or by contacting us. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.
- No lock-in: There is no minimum contract length and no cancellation fee.
- Refunds on monthly payments: Membership fees are non-refundable once a billing period has begun. If you cancel mid-month, you keep access to member benefits until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Failed payments: If a renewal payment fails, member benefits are suspended until payment is successfully taken. We may attempt to retry the payment for up to 7 days before cancelling the membership.
- Price changes: We will give at least 30 days' notice by email of any change to membership pricing. You may cancel before the new price takes effect.
- Misuse: Memberships are personal to the named member and may not be transferred or shared. We reserve the right to suspend or cancel a membership without refund where it is being misused.
3. Table Bookings & Deposits
Tables (snooker, pool, American pool, darts, shuffleboard) and dining tables can be booked through our website, the mobile app, or by contacting us directly.
- Dining deposits: A £5.00 per-guest deposit may be required to secure a dining booking. Deposits are redeemed against your bill on the night of your visit.
- Cancellation of dining bookings: Deposits are fully refundable if the booking is cancelled at least 24 hours before the booking start time. Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance, or no-shows, are non-refundable.
- Table game bookings: Game table bookings can be cancelled or amended free of charge up to 2 hours before the booking start time. Late cancellations and no-shows may forfeit any deposit paid.
- Late arrival: If you are more than 15 minutes late and have not contacted us, we may release your table to other customers. Any deposit paid will be retained.
- Group sizes: Please notify us in advance if your party size changes — we may not be able to accommodate larger groups without notice.
4. Gift Cards
- Validity: Gift cards are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. After this date any unused balance expires and cannot be reinstated.
- Use: Gift cards may be redeemed in-venue against food, drink, table hire, and event tickets sold directly by The 147. They cannot be used for membership fees or third-party services (such as TicketSource events).
- No cash value: Gift cards are not exchangeable for cash and are non-refundable once purchased, except where required by law.
- Lost or stolen: We cannot replace gift cards that are lost, stolen, or used without your authorisation. Treat them like cash.
- Partial redemption: Where the value of your purchase is less than the gift card balance, the remaining balance stays on the card until the expiry date.
5. Events & Tickets
Tickets to ticketed events are typically sold through TicketSource (ticketsource.com) and are subject to TicketSource's own terms and refund policy. Where The 147 is the direct seller, tickets are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by us.
6. Food & Drink Orders
In-app and on-site food and drink ordering is provided through OrderTab (ordertab.menu). Their terms apply to those transactions. Once a kitchen order has been accepted it cannot generally be cancelled or refunded.
7. Behaviour & Right of Refusal
We reserve the right to refuse entry, end a booking, or cancel a membership without refund where a customer behaves in a way that is abusive, threatening, or unsafe to staff or other customers, or where venue rules (including those relating to alcohol, age restrictions, and equipment care) are breached.
8. Damage to Equipment
You are responsible for the reasonable care of cues, balls, tables, darts, and other equipment provided to you. Customers may be charged for damage caused through misuse.
9. Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law. Subject to that, our total liability to you in connection with any single booking, order, or membership is limited to the amount you paid for it.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last Updated" date. Continued use of our services after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
